Douglas Noel Adams was born in Cambridge 1952 and died of a heart attack in 2001. Except the world famous series of the "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" he was working with the BBC series "Doctor Who", and wrote books about rare and endangered species of animals. Besides writing, he worked as a chicken shed cleaner, a bodyguard for an Arab royal family and appeared as a guitarist for Pink Floyd.

Now in 2004 these books are filmed again. In May 2004 the Official Movie Web Site started and the film is based on the script that Douglas Adams started before he died, and where Martin Freeman is set to play Arthur Dent and is scheduled for 2005.
