Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics:
From The Robot Stories that were published in Astounding magazine, between 1941-1950.
  • 1:st Law: A robot may not injure a human, or allow a human to be injured.
  • 2:nd Law: A robot must follow any order given by a human that doesn't conflict with the First Law.
  • 3:rd Law: A robot must protect itself unless that would conflict with the First or Second Laws.
  • A Zero law was added later, check it yourself!

Isac Asimov wrote over 500 books and I read my first one in th 60s and have not read all yet.

His "I Robot" is produced as a 2004 movie, probably with all the effects that we expects from a movie today. The Film is based on the books of Asimov. His ideas is now more than 60 years old. Beside his extraordinary series of books called the "Foundation series" he wrote a this series of books with the "I Robot Theme" and tied it all together in his last books in the series. Background info on this can be found at this Wikisite. Several Web Sites is already set up for the film and you check this review of the The I-Robot Film. This was also a part of the great Foundation-series that is a must to read if you like SF.

There are other Films made after Isac Asimovs stories over the years. Check the FAQ for more info. or see a small list of Asimov based movies.
